We’re partnering with a London-based startup building something ambitious - an operating system layer powered by AI. It's a new model of interaction where intelligence orchestrates tasks, services and workflows behind one surface. The company is looking for a Kotlin/Java Engineer who will help shape the core platform - the backbone of the product. The company is a small, highly experienced team led by a deeply technical founder with a strong track record (three B2C products, $200M+ combined valuation, one successful exit).
Team's stack: Kotlin, Ktor, Docker, K8s, PostgreSQL. API-first. Event-sourced. LLM integration for the agent layer.
Key tasks include:
Development of the core platform;
Orchestration of APIs and services;
Work on the infrastructure-level backend layer;
Integration with the AI module;
Ensuring system scalability and reliability.
Who the team is looking for:
2+ years of experience with Java/JVM or Kotlin;
Experience with JS/TS and Python for scripting (or willingness to work with it);
Strong fundamentals in networking, databases, queues, and distributed systems;
Hands-on infra experience;
Regular use of AI tools in engineering workflows;
Comfort with ambiguity and small team pace;
B2+ English. Fluency in English (verbal and written) is mandatory.
