We're partnering with a fintech company building the embedded card infrastructure for Web3 wallets, neobanks, marketplaces, gig platforms & creator economies - one API covers BIN sponsorship, KYC, FX, compliance & settlement. Right now, they are a senior-level team of 6 people building the core of the platform from the ground up. They work fast, iterate quickly, and care a lot about strong engineering and structured thinking. The company is looking for a Senior System Analyst to work directly on the core transactional flows of the product.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and document end-to-end transaction flows across card processing, crypto rails, and partner APIs - including authorization, clearing, settlement, refunds, reversals, and chargeback/dispute scenarios.
Specify integrations with processors, BIN sponsors, payment partners, exchanges, and on-chain components: API contracts, data models, sequence diagrams, error and retry behavior, idempotency, and edge cases.
Work through the math of fee structures, commission schemes, and deal economics when it affects system behavior - and validate that what's built matches what was specified.
Work with engineering on how on-chain events integrate into off-chain flows - recovery scenarios, stuck transactions, missed events.
Produce high-quality written artifacts for both internal and external use: technical specifications, integration documents, partner-facing materials, and decision records.
Requirements:
Hands-on experience integrating with liquidity providers, exchanges, or trading infrastructure and a working understanding of order types (market, limit, stop, etc.) and their trade-offs.
Deep understanding of one of: card processing or exchange/trading infrastructure and working familiarity with the other (or willingness to build it quickly).
Strong grasp of ledger mechanics and double-entry bookkeeping: balances, holds, reversals, reconciliation. You know why money moves twice.
The ability to hold the full system in your head: business flow, API contracts, data model, failure modes. You move between these layers without losing the thread.
A track record of turning ambiguous domain problems into documentation engineering can build from and catching the edge cases before they reach production.
Strong written English with attention to style, structure, and formatting - your documents are reader-oriented, and you always know what each one is meant to achieve.
Why the role is interesting?
Small senior-level team that cares about how you think and how you reason.
High ownership and autonomy.
Direct collaboration with engineers and product leadership.
Flexible processes and a pragmatic approach to delivery.
AI-friendly engineering culture (Claude and other AI tools are actively used in development).
Conditions:
Fully remote or Cyprus / Dubai setup.
Flexible location worldwide.
Expected overlap with Cyprus timezone (~10:00–16:00 Cyprus time).
