Location & work format:
Hybrid work in Tokyo, Japan (visa sponsorship and relocation allowance available).
Salary range:
18-22M JPY per year.
Key responsibilities:
- Rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept research;
- Designing and organising experiments;
- Defining technical direction and requirements;
- Collaborating across research and engineering;
- Anticipating technical risks and bottlenecks;
- Leading technical execution and people (team of ~3 people at the start).
Key expectations:
- 5+ years of experience in Lead and Applied AI roles.
- Hands-on experience designing, organising, and evaluating experiments and feasibility studies.
- Experience defining technical and research requirements.
- Experience working in deep collaboration with scientists and ML engineers.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proactive mindset to stay updated with the latest advancements in AI.
- Fluent in conversational and written business English (C1+).
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience working using Agile framework.
