We're looking for an AI Engineering Architect to own the AI tooling and infrastructure the company's engineering organization runs on. This is not about rolling out Cursor and calling it done: you will decide what gets built, what gets bought, and prove that it actually moves the needle across 120 engineers and multiple products.

You will report directly to the CTO and work across every product team to make that happen.

Responsibilities:
- Build and own the AI tooling stack for engineering: agentic coding workflows, evals, permission rules, AI-assisted code review, testing and deployment automation
- Drive and be accountable for the 5x development acceleration target
- Identify the biggest AI-addressable bottlenecks in the engineering workflow, in partnership with Engineering leadership, and remove them
- Make and own model and provider selection decisions for engineering tooling: which LLMs, which infrastructure, build versus buy
- Pitch new AI-assisted practices to product teams, launch an MVP on one team, then scale what works to the rest of the organization
- Set up evals and benchmarks that measure whether tooling is actually improving velocity, not just being adopted
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6-7+ years of commercial development experience, any stack, with the last several years focused specifically on implementing and automating workflows through AI
- A track record of rolling out AI tooling company-wide with a measurable impact on velocity, not just introducing individual tools
- A data-driven, experimental approach: pitching ideas, launching an MVP on one team, then scaling what works to the rest of the organization
- Agentic tooling at scale: experience with tools like Claude Code, Cursor or similar, deployed across an organization, not just personal use
- English from B2
Nice to have:
- Experience building your own MCP server
- Background as a platform engineer, DevEx lead, or AI/ML infra engineer
- Experience with ML (not required, a plus if you have it)
